Insurance Benefits
Structural Integration is not covered by basic health insurance. However, contributions from various supplementary insurance policies are possible.
Each insurance company defines for itself which therapy methods it pays contributions to. The insurance companies refer to registration offices.
Recognition
Registration Offices
Registration offices such as EMR, ASCA and others set minimum requirements regarding training for the registration of a method. They also monitor compliance with method-specific further training.
The Structural Integration method has long been recognized as an individual method by the registration offices.
In addition to the EMR (Register of Empirical Medicine) and the ASCA (Swiss Foundation for Complementary Medicine), there are other registration offices such as SPAK and APTN. In addition, individual insurance companies such as Visana and EGK maintain their own registers.
OdA KT
Complementary Therapy OdA KT
Since 2015, the job description “Complementary Therapist” with the degrees of branch certificate and federal diploma has existed in Switzerland.
The registration offices maintain a separate registration number for holders of the OdA KT industry certificate or the federal diploma.
The insurance companies increasingly determine the amount of cost sharing on the basis of these different registration numbers (i.e. qualification levels). Clients of therapists with an OdA KT industry certificate or federal Diploma usually benefit from higher cost contributions.
