Welcome to IDA
IDA Association for Rolfing® and Structural Integration Switzerland
The IDA is the professional association for Structural Integration therapists in Switzerland. We represent practitioners from all recognized training institutes for Structural Integration and see ourselves as part of the international SI community.
All SI therapists with a degree from an IASI-recognized school can become IDA members. Students of these schools can apply for student membership.
We are also the supporting association for the Structural Integration method within the framework of the federally recognized profession “Complementary Therapist”.

Tasks and Goals
The IDA is committed to promoting and further developing Structural Integration in Switzerland. As a professional association, we unite qualified therapists and actively advocate for the recognition, quality assurance, and networking of our members.
Services for Members
Our members benefit from our network, maintain professional exchange, and have exclusive access to our free services.
Association Development
The IDA was founded in 2002 as the Rolfing® Association Switzerland. Since 2018, our association has been open to practitioners of all SI training directions recognized by the International Association of Structural Integrators (IASI).
The IASI sets internationally valid guidelines for training in Structural Integration. Training institutes for Structural Integration must be recognized by the IASI and comply with its guidelines.
Our Board
Our board includes therapists who are committed to the further development of Structural Integration with expertise and dedication. Together, they shape the strategic direction and represent the interests of the members at a national level.
Rolfing® Associations in Europe
Our international umbrella organization is the Dr Ida Rolf Institute (DIRI), based in Boulder, USA. The European Rolfing Association e.V. was founded in 1991 to be able to offer training in Europe.
This in turn also supports the diversity in Europe, so that there are now several “regional associations”. In addition to the RVD in Germany, there are official Rolfing associations in England, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, and the Czech Republic.
Rolfing® Training
The official Rolfing training takes place either at the Dr Ida Rolf Institute (DIRI) in the USA or at the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute Europe. There, interested parties first receive an introduction to Rolfing Structural Integration for beginners (Meet Rolfing).
If you decide to train as a professional Rolfer, you can complete the corresponding courses at the Munich Institute or other training centers in Europe – for example, in Rimini or Madrid.
